Galatians 6:1-16

CEB 1 Brothers and sisters, if a person is caught doing something wrong, you who are spiritual should restore someone like this with a spirit of gentleness. Watch out for yourselves so you won't be tempted too. NRS 1 My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted. CEB 2 Carry each other's burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. NRS 2 Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. CEB 3 If anyone thinks they are important when they aren't, they're fooling themselves. NRS 3 For if those who are nothing think they are something, they deceive themselves. CEB 4 Each person should test their own work and be happy with doing a good job and not compare themselves with others. NRS 4 All must test their own work; then that work, rather than their neighbor's work, will become a cause for pride. CEB 5 Each person will have to carry their own load. NRS 5 For all must carry their own loads. CEB 6 Those who are taught the word should share all good things with their teacher. NRS 6 Those who are taught the word must share in all good things with their teacher. CEB 7 Make no mistake, God is not mocked. A person will harvest what they plant. NRS 7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. CEB 8 Those who plant only for their own benefit will harvest devastation from their selfishness, but those who plant for the benefit of the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. NRS 8 If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit. CEB 9 Let's not get tired of doing good, because in time we'll have a harvest if we don't give up. NRS 9 So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. CEB 10 So then, let's work for the good of all whenever we have an opportunity, and especially for those in the household of faith. NRS 10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. CEB 11 Look at the large letters I'm making with my own handwriting! NRS 11 See what large letters I make when I am writing in my own hand! CEB 12 Whoever wants to look good by human standards will try to get you to be circumcised, but only so they won't be harassed for the cross of Christ. NRS 12 It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that try to compel you to be circumcised—only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. CEB 13 Those who are circumcised don't observe the Law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised, so they can boast about your physical body. NRS 13 Even the circumcised do not themselves obey the law, but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast about your flesh. CEB 14 But as for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except for the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through him, and I have been crucified to the world. NRS 14 May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. CEB 15 Being circumcised or not being circumcised doesn't mean anything. What matters is a new creation. NRS 15 For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; but a new creation is everything! CEB 16 May peace and mercy be on whoever follows this rule and on God's Israel. NRS 16 As for those who will follow this rule—peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
