Galatians 6:11-18

RSV 11 See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. NIV 11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand! RSV 12 It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. NIV 12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. RSV 13 For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. NIV 13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. RSV 14 But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. NIV 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. RSV 15 For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. NIV 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. RSV 16 Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of God. NIV 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God. RSV 17 Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. NIV 17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. RSV 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. NIV 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
