Genesis 36

NLT 1 This is the account of the descendants of Esau (also known as Edom). NIV 1 This is the account of Esau (that is, Edom). NLT 2 Esau married two young women from Canaan: Adah, the daughter of Elon the Hittite; and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite. NLT 6 Esau took his wives, his children, and his entire household, along with his livestock and cattle—all the wealth he had acquired in the land of Canaan—and moved away from his brother, Jacob. These are the clan leaders in the land of Edom who descended from Reuel. All these were descendants of Esau’s wife Basemath. NIV 17 The sons of Esau's son Reuel: Chiefs Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the chiefs descended from Reuel in Edom; they were grandsons of Esau's wife Basemath. NLT 18 The descendants of Esau and his wife Oholibamah became the leaders of the clans of Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. He was the one who defeated the Midianites in the land of Moab. NIV 35 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith. NLT 36 When Hadad died, Samlah from the city of Masrekah became king in his place. NIV 36 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
