Hebrews 13:13-23

NLT 13 So let us go out to him outside the camp and bear the disgrace he bore. NIV 13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. NLT 14 For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in heaven, which is yet to come. NIV 14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. NLT 15 With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. NIV 15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name. NLT 16 Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God. NIV 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. NLT 17 Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they know they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this joyfully and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit. NIV 17 Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. NLT 18 Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do. NIV 18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. NLT 19 I especially need your prayers right now so that I can come back to you soon. NIV 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon. NLT 20 And now, may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, all that is pleasing to him. Jesus is the great Shepherd of the sheep by an everlasting covenant, signed with his blood. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen. NIV 20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, NLT 21 * [No text] NIV 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. NLT 22 I urge you, dear brothers and sisters, please listen carefully to what I have said in this brief letter. NIV 22 Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter. NLT 23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy is now out of jail. If he comes here soon, I will bring him with me to see you. NIV 23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
