Hebrews 3

NKJV 1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, NIV 1 Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. NKJV 2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. NIV 2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God's house. NKJV 3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. NIV 3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. NKJV 4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. NIV 4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. NKJV 5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward, NIV 5 Moses was faithful as a servant in all God's house, testifying to what would be said in the future. NKJV 6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. NIV 6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. NKJV 7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice, NIV 7 So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, NKJV 8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, NIV 8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, NKJV 9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years. NIV 9 where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did. NKJV 10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, 'They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.' NIV 10 That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' NKJV 11 So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' " NIV 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.' " NKJV 12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; NIV 12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. NKJV 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. NIV 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. NKJV 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, NIV 14 We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. NKJV 15 while it is said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." NIV 15 As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." NKJV 16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? NIV 16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? NKJV 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? NIV 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? NKJV 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? NIV 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed ? NKJV 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. NIV 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.
