NIV 21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. RHE 22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob, neither hast thou laboured about me, O Israel. NIV 22 "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, O Israel. RHE 23 Thou hast not offered me the ram of thy holocaust, nor hast thou glorified me with thy victims: I have not caused thee to serve with oblations, nor wearied thee with incense. NIV 23 You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings nor wearied you with demands for incense. RHE 24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy victims. But thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities. NIV 24 You have not bought any fragrant calamus for me, or lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your offenses. RHE 25 I am, I am he that blot out thy iniquities for my own sake, and I will not remember thy sins. NIV 25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more. RHE 26 Put me in remembrance, and let us plead together: tell if thou hast any thing to justify thyself. NIV 26 Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence. RHE 27 Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. NIV 27 Your first father sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me. RHE 28 And I have profaned the holy princes, I have given Jacob to slaughter, and Israel to reproach. NIV 28 So I will disgrace the dignitaries of your temple, and I will consign Jacob to destruction and Israel to scorn.
