Isaiah 52:1-6

WEB 1 Awake, awake, put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. NIV 1 Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. WEB 2 Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit [on your throne], Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion. NIV 2 Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion. WEB 3 For thus says Yahweh, You were sold for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money. NIV 3 For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed." WEB 4 For thus says the Lord Yahweh, My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause. NIV 4 For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them. WEB 5 Now therefore, what do I here, says Yahweh, seeing that my people is taken away for nothing? those who rule over them do howl, says Yahweh, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed. NIV 5 "And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock, " declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. WEB 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore [they shall know] in that day that I am he who does speak; behold, it is I. NIV 6 Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I."
