James 4:13-17

NRS 13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town and spend a year there, doing business and making money." NIV 13 Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." NRS 14 Yet you do not even know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. NIV 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. NRS 15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wishes, we will live and do this or that." NIV 15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." NRS 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. NIV 16 As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. NRS 17 Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, commits sin. NIV 17 Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
