I'm too young!" NIV 6 "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child." NLT 7 "Don't say that," the LORD replied, "for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. NIV 7 But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' NLT 12 And the LORD said, "That's right, and it means that I am watching, and I will surely carry out my threats of punishment." NIV 12 The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled." NLT 13 Then the LORD spoke to me again and asked, "What do you see now?" And I replied, "I see a pot of boiling water, tipping from the north." NIV 13 The word of the LORD came to me again: "What do you see?" "I see a boiling pot, tilting away from the north," I answered. NLT 14 "Yes," the LORD said, "for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land." NIV 14 The LORD said to me, "From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. NLT 15 Listen! I am calling the armies of the kingdoms of the north to come to Jerusalem. They will set their thrones at the gates of the city. They will attack its walls and all the other towns of Judah." NIV 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms," declares the LORD. "Their kings will come and set up their thrones in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem; they will come against all her surrounding walls and against all the towns of Judah. NIV 16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made. NLT 17 "Get up and get dressed. Go out, and tell them whatever I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them. NIV 17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. NLT 18 For see, today I have made you immune to their attacks. You are strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. None of the kings, officials, priests, or people of Judah will be able to stand against you." NIV 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land--against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. NLT 19 They will try, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!" NIV 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.
