John 1:4-14

WBT 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. NIV 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. WBT 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. NIV 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. WBT 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. NIV 6 There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. WBT 7 The same came for a witness, to bear testimony of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. NIV 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. WBT 8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear testimony of that Light. NIV 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. WBT 9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. NIV 9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. WBT 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. NIV 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. WBT 11 He came to his own, and his own received him not. NIV 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. WBT 12 But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: NIV 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- WBT 13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. NIV 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. WBT 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. NIV 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
