John 21:1-6

NLT 1 Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened. NIV 1 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. It happened this way: NLT 2 Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. NIV 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. NLT 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. NIV 3 "I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. NLT 4 At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. NIV 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. NLT 5 He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. NIV 5 He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?" "No," they answered. NLT 6 Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. NIV 6 He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
