John 3:11-21

NLT 11 I assure you, I am telling you what we know and have seen, and yet you won't believe us. NIV 11 I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. NLT 12 But if you don't even believe me when I tell you about things that happen here on earth, how can you possibly believe if I tell you what is going on in heaven? NIV 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? NLT 13 For only I, the Son of Man, have come to earth and will return to heaven again. NIV 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man. NLT 14 And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole, NIV 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, NLT 15 so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life." NIV 15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. NLT 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. NIV 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. NLT 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it." NIV 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. NLT 18 "There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. NIV 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. NLT 19 Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. NIV 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. NLT 20 They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. NIV 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. NLT 21 But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants." NIV 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
