Luke 10:38-42

RSV 38 Now as they went on their way, he entered a village; and a woman named Martha received him into her house. NIV 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. RSV 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. NIV 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. RSV 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me." Tell her to help me!" RSV 41 But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; NIV 41 "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, RSV 42 one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her." NIV 42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
