Luke 12:22-34

LEB 22 And he said to his disciples, "For this [reason] I tell you, do not be anxious for [your] life, what you will eat, or for [your] body, what you will wear. NIV 22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. LEB 23 For life is more than food, and the body [more than] clothing. NIV 23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. LEB 24 Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; to them there is neither storeroom nor barn, and God feeds them. How much more are you worth than the birds? NIV 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! LEB 25 And which of you [by] being anxious is able to add an hour to his life span? NIV 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life ? LEB 26 If then you are not even able [to do] a very little thing, why are you anxious about the rest? NIV 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? LEB 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they do not toil or spin, but I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was dressed like one of these. NIV 27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. LEB 28 But if God clothes the grass in the field in this way, [although it] is [here] today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more [will he do so for] you, you of little faith? NIV 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! LEB 29 And you, do not consider what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not be anxious. NIV 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. LEB 30 For all the nations of the world seek after these [things], and your Father knows that you need these [things]. NIV 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. LEB 31 But seek his kingdom and these [things] will be added to you. NIV 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. LEB 32 "Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom. NIV 32 "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. LEB 33 Sell your possessions and give charitable gifts. Make for yourselves money bags that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven where thief does not approach or moth destroy. NIV 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. LEB 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. NIV 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
