Luke 16:11-31

ESV 11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? NIV 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? ESV 12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? NIV 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own? ESV 13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." ESV 25 But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. NIV 25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. ESV 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.' NIV 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' ESV 27 And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house-- NIV 27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, ESV 28 for I have five brothers--so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.' NIV 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' ESV 29 But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' NIV 29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' ESV 30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' NIV 30 " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' ESV 31 He said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.'" NIV 31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
