Luke 18:35-43

CSB 35 As He drew near Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. NIV 35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. CSB 36 Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what this meant. NIV 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. CSB 37 "Jesus the Nazarene is passing by," they told him. NIV 37 They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by." CSB 38 So he called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" NIV 38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" CSB 39 Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" NIV 39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" CSB 40 Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him. When he drew near, He asked him, NIV 40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, CSB 41 "What do you want Me to do for you?" "Lord," he said, "I want to see!" NIV 41 "What do you want me to do for you?" "Lord, I want to see," he replied. CSB 42 "Receive your sight!" Jesus told him. "Your faith has healed you." NIV 42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." CSB 43 Instantly he could see, and he began to follow Him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. NIV 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
