Luke 18:35-43

NLT 35 As they approached Jericho, a blind beggar was sitting beside the road. NIV 35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. NLT 36 When he heard the noise of a crowd going past, he asked what was happening. NIV 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. NLT 37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was going by. NIV 37 They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by." NLT 38 So he began shouting, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" NIV 38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" NLT 39 The crowds ahead of Jesus tried to hush the man, but he only shouted louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" NIV 39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" NLT 40 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. NIV 40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, NLT 41 Then Jesus asked the man, "What do you want me to do for you?" "Lord," he pleaded, "I want to see!" NIV 41 "What do you want me to do for you?" "Lord, I want to see," he replied. NLT 42 And Jesus said, "All right, you can see! Your faith has healed you." NIV 42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." NLT 43 Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus, praising God. And all who saw it praised God, too. NIV 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
