CEB 46 Mary said, "With all my heart I glorify the Lord! NIV 46 And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord CEB 47 In the depths of who I am I rejoice in God my savior. NIV 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, CEB 48 He has looked with favor on the low status of his servant. Look! From now on, everyone will consider me highly favored NIV 48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. NIV 61 They said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who has that name." CEB 62 Then they began gesturing to his father to see what he wanted to call him. NIV 62 Then they made signs to his father, to find out what he would like to name the child. CEB 63 After asking for a tablet, he surprised everyone by writing, "His name is John." NIV 63 He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone's astonishment he wrote, "His name is John." CEB 64 At that moment, Zechariah was able to speak again, and he began praising God. NIV 64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue was loosed, and he began to speak, praising God. CEB 65 All their neighbors were filled with awe, and everyone throughout the Judean highlands talked about what had happened. NIV 65 The neighbors were all filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things. CEB 66 All who heard about this considered it carefully. They said, "What then will this child be?" Indeed, the Lord's power was with him. NIV 66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, "What then is this child going to be?" For the Lord's hand was with him.
