NAS 31 "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; NIV 31 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. NAS 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." NIV 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." NAS 33 But he said to Him, "Lord , with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!" NIV 33 But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death." NAS 34 And He said, "I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me." NIV 34 Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me." NAS 35 And He said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing." NIV 35 Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" "Nothing," they answered. NAS 36 And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. NIV 36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. NAS 37 "For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, 'AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS '; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment." NIV 37 It is written: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors'; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment." NAS 38 They said, "Lord , look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough." NIV 38 The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied. NAS 39 And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him. NIV 39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. NAS 40 When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." NIV 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." NAS 41 And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, NIV 41 He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed,
