YLT 1 And having called together his twelve disciples, he gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure sicknesses, NIV 1 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, YLT 2 and he sent them to proclaim the reign of God, and to heal the ailing. NIV 2 and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. YLT 3 And he said unto them, `Take nothing for the way, neither staff, nor scrip, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats each; NIV 3 He told them: "Take nothing for the journey--no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. YLT 4 and into whatever house ye may enter, there remain, and thence depart; NIV 4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. YLT 5 and as many as may not receive you, going forth from that city, even the dust from your feet shake off, for a testimony against them.' NIV 5 If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them." YLT 6 And going forth they were going through the several villages, proclaiming good news, and healing everywhere. NIV 6 So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.
