Mark 15:34-44

NLT 34 Then at three o’clock Jesus called out with a loud voice, which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”15:34 Ps 22:1. NIV 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ""Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? ""--which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" NLT 35 Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought he was calling for the prophet Elijah. NIV 35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah." NLT 44 Pilate couldn’t believe that Jesus was already dead, so he called for the Roman officer and asked if he had died yet. NIV 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died.
