Mark 1:14-20

NLT 14 Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News. NIV 14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. NLT 15 “The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!” NIV 15 "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" NLT 16 One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. NIV 16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. NLT 17 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” NIV 17 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." NLT 18 And they left their nets at once and followed him. NIV 18 At once they left their nets and followed him. NLT 19 A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets. NIV 19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. NLT 20 He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men. NIV 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
