Mark 7:31-35

NLT 31 Jesus left Tyre and went to Sidon, then back to the Sea of Galilee and the region of the Ten Towns. NIV 31 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. NLT 32 A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to him, and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him. NIV 32 There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged him to place his hand on the man. NLT 33 Jesus led him to a private place away from the crowd. He put his fingers into the man's ears. Then, spitting onto his own fingers, he touched the man's tongue with the spittle. NIV 33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue. NLT 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed and commanded, "Be opened!" NIV 34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, ""Ephphatha!"" (which means, "Be opened!"). NLT 35 Instantly the man could hear perfectly and speak plainly! NIV 35 At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
