Matthew 12:9-14

ESV 9 He went on from there and entered their synagogue. NIV 9 Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, ESV 10 And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--so that they might accuse him. NIV 10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" ESV 11 He said to them, "Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? NIV 11 He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? ESV 12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." NIV 12 How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." ESV 13 Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other. NIV 13 Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. ESV 14 But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him. NIV 14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
