Matthew 15:29-39

NAS 29 Departing from there, Jesus went along by the Sea of Galilee, and having gone up on the mountain, He was sitting there. NIV 29 Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a mountainside and sat down. NAS 30 And large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them. NIV 30 Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. NAS 31 So the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. NIV 31 The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel. NAS 32 And Jesus called His disciples to Him, and said, "I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way." NIV 32 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way." NAS 33 The disciples said to Him, "Where would we get so many loaves in this desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd?" NIV 33 His disciples answered, "Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?" NAS 34 And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few small fish." NIV 34 "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied, "and a few small fish." NAS 35 And He directed the people to sit down on the ground; NIV 35 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. NAS 36 and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. NIV 36 Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. NAS 37 And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, seven large baskets full. NIV 37 They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. NAS 38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. NIV 38 The number of those who ate was four thousand, besides women and children. NAS 39 And sending away the crowds, Jesus got into the boat and came to the region of Magadan. NIV 39 After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan.
