Matthew 28:1-7

NLT 1 Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. NIV 1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. NLT 2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. NIV 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. NLT 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. NIV 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. NLT 4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. NIV 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. NLT 5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. NIV 5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. NLT 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. NIV 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. NLT 7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” NIV 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
