ESV 1 "Judge not, that you be not judged. NIV 1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. ESV 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. NIV 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. ESV 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? NIV 3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ESV 4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? NIV 4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? ESV 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. NIV 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. ESV 6 "Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. NIV 6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
