Numbers 15

YLT 1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses, YLT 2 `Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye come in unto the land of your dwellings, which I am giving to you, NIV 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home YLT 3 then ye have prepared a fire-offering to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice, at separating a vow or free-will-offering, or in your appointed things, to make a sweet fragrance to Jehovah, out of the herd, or out of the flock. NIV 3 and you present to the LORD offerings made by fire, from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD --whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings-- YLT 4 `And he who is bringing near his offering to Jehovah hath brought near a present of flour, a tenth deal, mixed with a fourth of the hin of oil; NIV 4 then the one who brings his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil. YLT 5 and wine for a libation, a fourth of the hin thou dost prepare for the burnt-offering or for a sacrifice, for the one lamb; NIV 5 With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. YLT 6 or for a ram thou dost prepare a present of flour, two-tenth deals, mixed with oil, a third of the hin; NIV 6 " 'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil, YLT 7 and wine for a libation, a third part of the hin, thou dost bring near -- a sweet fragrance to Jehovah. NIV 7 and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. YLT 8 `And when thou makest a son of the herd a burnt-offering or a sacrifice, at separating a vow or peace-offerings to Jehovah, NIV 8 " 'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD, YLT 9 then he hath brought near for the son of the herd a present of flour, three-tenth deals, mixed with oil, a half of the hin; NIV 9 bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. YLT 10 and wine thou bringest near for a libation, a half of the hin -- a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah; NIV 10 Also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It will be an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. YLT 11 thus it is done for the one ox, or for the one ram, or for a lamb of the sheep or of the goats. NIV 11 Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner. YLT 12 `According to the number that ye prepare, so ye do to each, according to their number; NIV 12 Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare. YLT 13 every native doth thus with these, at bringing near a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah; NIV 13 " 'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. YLT 14 and when a sojourner sojourneth with you, or whoso [is] in your midst to your generations, and he hath made a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah, as ye do so he doth. NIV 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do. YLT 15 `One statute is for you of the congregation and for the sojourner who is sojourning, a statute age-during to your generations: as ye [are] so is the sojourner before Jehovah; NIV 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD: YLT 16 one law and one ordinance is to you and to the sojourner who is sojourning with you.' NIV 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.' " YLT 17 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, NIV 17 The LORD said to Moses, YLT 18 `Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, In your coming in unto the land whither I am bringing you in, NIV 18 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you YLT 19 then it hath been, in your eating of the bread of the land, ye heave up a heave-offering to Jehovah; NIV 19 and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD. YLT 20 the beginning of your dough a cake ye heave up -- a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of a threshing-floor, so ye do heave it. NIV 20 Present a cake from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor. YLT 21 Of the beginning of your dough ye do give to Jehovah a heave-offering -- to your generations. NIV 21 Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal. YLT 22 `And when ye err, and do not all these commands which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses, NIV 22 " 'Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses-- YLT 23 the whole that Jehovah hath charged upon you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Jehovah hath commanded, and henceforth, to your generations, NIV 23 any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come-- YLT 24 then it hath been, if from the eyes of the company it hath been done in ignorance, that all the company have prepared one bullock, a son of the herd, for a burnt-offering, for sweet fragrance to Jehovah, and its present, and its libation, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering. NIV 24 and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering. YLT 25 `And the priest hath made atonement for all the company of the sons of Israel, and it hath been forgiven them, for it [is] ignorance, and they -- they have brought in their offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah, even their sin-offering before Jehovah for their ignorance; NIV 25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering. YLT 26 and it hath been forgiven to all the company of the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst; for to all the company [it is done] in ignorance. NIV 26 The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong. YLT 27 `And if one person sin in ignorance, then he hath brought near a she-goat, daughter of a year, for a sin-offering; NIV 27 " 'But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering. YLT 28 and the priest hath made atonement for the person who is erring, in his sinning in ignorance before Jehovah, by making atonement for him, and it hath been forgiven him; NIV 28 The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven. YLT 29 for the native among the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst -- one law is to you, for him who is doing [anything] through ignorance. NIV 29 One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien. YLT 30 `And the person who doth [aught] with a high hand -- of the native or of the sojourner -- Jehovah he is reviling, and that person hath been cut off from the midst of his people; NIV 30 " 'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people. YLT 31 because the word of Jehovah he despised, and His command hath broken -- that person is certainly cut off; his iniquity [is] on him.' NIV 31 Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.' " YLT 32 And the sons of Israel are in the wilderness, and they find a man gathering wood on the sabbath-day, NIV 32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. YLT 33 and those finding him gathering wood bring him near unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company, NIV 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, YLT 34 and they place him in ward, for it [is] not explained what is [to be] done to him. NIV 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. YLT 35 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `The man is certainly put to death, all the company stoning him with stones, at the outside of the camp.' NIV 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp." YLT 36 And all the company bring him out unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones, and he dieth, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses. NIV 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses. YLT 37 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, NIV 37 The LORD said to Moses, YLT 38 `Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, and they have made for themselves fringes on the skirts of their garments, to their generations, and they have put on the fringe of the skirt a ribbon of blue, NIV 38 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. YLT 39 and it hath been to you for a fringe, and ye have seen it, and have remembered all the commands of Jehovah, and have done them, and ye search not after your heart, and after your eyes, after which ye are going a-whoring; NIV 39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. YLT 40 so that ye remember and have done all My commands, and ye have been holy to your God; NIV 40 Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God. YLT 41 I [am] Jehovah your God, who hath brought you out from the land of Egypt to become your God; I, Jehovah, [am] your God.' NIV 41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.' "
