Numbers 33

HNV 1 These are the journeys of the children of Yisra'el, when they went forth out of the land of Mitzrayim by their hosts under the hand of Moshe and Aharon. NIV 1 Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. HNV 2 Moshe wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the mitzvah of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out. NIV 2 At the LORD's command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages: HNV 3 They journeyed from Ra`meses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Pesach the children of Yisra'el went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Mitzrim, NIV 3 The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out boldly in full view of all the Egyptians, HNV 4 while the Mitzrim were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck among them: on their gods also the LORD executed judgments. NIV 7 They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol. HNV 8 They journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etam, and encamped in Marah. NIV 8 They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah. HNV 9 They journeyed from Marah, and came to Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there. NIV 15 They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai. HNV 16 They journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kivrot-Hatta'avah. NIV 16 They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah. HNV 17 They journeyed from Kivrot-Hatta'avah, and encamped in Hatzerot. HNV 34 They journeyed from Yotvatah, and encamped in `Avronah. NIV 34 They left Jotbathah and camped at Abronah. HNV 35 They journeyed from `Avronah, and encamped in `Etzyon-Gever. NIV 35 They left Abronah and camped at Ezion Geber. HNV 36 They journeyed from `Etzyon-Gever, and encamped in the wilderness of Tzin (the same is Kadesh). NIV 36 They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin. HNV 37 They journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom. NIV 37 They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of Edom. HNV 38 Aharon the Kohen went up into Mount Hor at the mitzvah of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Yisra'el were come out of the land of Mitzrayim, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month. NIV 38 At the LORD's command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. HNV 39 Aharon was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor. NIV 39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor. HNV 40 The Kana`ani, the king of `Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Kana`an, heard of the coming of the children of Yisra'el. NIV 40 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming. HNV 41 They journeyed from Mount Hor, and encamped in Tzalmonah. NIV 41 They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah. HNV 42 They journeyed from Tzalmonah, and encamped in Punon. NIV 42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon. HNV 43 They journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Ovot. NIV 43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth. HNV 44 They journeyed from Ovot, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Mo'av. HNV 47 They journeyed from `Almon at Divlatayim, and encamped in the mountains of `Avarimen, before Nevo. NIV 47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo. HNV 48 They journeyed from the mountains of `Avarimen, and encamped in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden at Yericho. NIV 48 They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho. HNV 49 They encamped by the Yarden, from Beit-Hayshimot even to Avel-Hashshittim in the plains of Mo'av. NIV 49 There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim. HNV 50 The LORD spoke to Moshe in the plains of Mo'av by the Yarden at Yericho, saying, NIV 50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the LORD said to Moses, HNV 51 Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, When you pass over the Yarden into the land of Kana`an, NIV 51 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, HNV 52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured [stones], and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places: NIV 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places. HNV 53 and you shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for to you have I given the land to possess it. NIV 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess. HNV 54 You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall you inherit. NIV 54 Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes. HNV 55 But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those who you let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land in which you dwell. NIV 55 " 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. HNV 56 It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you. NIV 56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.' "
