Philippians 3:12-21

RSV 12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. NIV 12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. RSV 13 Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, NIV 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, RSV 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. NIV 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. RSV 15 Let those of us who are mature be thus minded; and if in anything you are otherwise minded, God will reveal that also to you. NIV 15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. RSV 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained. NIV 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained. RSV 17 Brethren, join in imitating me, and mark those who so live as you have an example in us. NIV 17 Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. RSV 18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, live as enemies of the cross of Christ. NIV 18 For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. RSV 19 Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. NIV 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. RSV 20 But our commonwealth is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, NIV 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, RSV 21 who will change our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself. NIV 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
