Philippians 4

NKJV 1 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. NIV 1 Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends! NKJV 2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. NIV 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. NKJV 3 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. NIV 3 Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. NKJV 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! NIV 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! NKJV 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. NIV 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. NKJV 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; NIV 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. NKJV 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. NIV 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. NKJV 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. NIV 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. NKJV 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. NIV 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. NKJV 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. NIV 10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. NKJV 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: NIV 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. NKJV 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. NIV 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. NKJV 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. NIV 13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. NKJV 14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress. NIV 14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. NKJV 15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. NIV 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; NKJV 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. NIV 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. NKJV 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. NIV 17 Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. NKJV 18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. NIV 18 I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. NKJV 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. NIV 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. NKJV 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. NIV 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. NKJV 21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. NIV 21 Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send greetings. NKJV 22 All the saints greet you, but especially those who are of Caesar's household. NIV 22 All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar's household. NKJV 23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. NIV 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
