Proverbs 12

ESV 1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. NIV 1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. ESV 2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but a man of evil devices he condemns. NIV 2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man. ESV 4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones. NIV 24 Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor. ESV 25 Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad. NIV 25 An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up. ESV 26 One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. NIV 26 A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. ESV 27 Whoever is slothful will not roast his game, but the diligent man will get precious wealth. NIV 27 The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions. ESV 28 In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. NIV 28 In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality.
