Proverbs 9

NKJV 1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; NIV 1 Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars. NKJV 2 She has slaughtered her meat, She has mixed her wine, She has also furnished her table. NIV 2 She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table. NKJV 3 She has sent out her maidens, She cries out from the highest places of the city, NIV 3 She has sent out her maids, and she calls from the highest point of the city. NKJV 4 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, NIV 4 "Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment. NKJV 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. NKJV 18 But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of hell. NIV 18 But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave.
