Psalm 111

CEB 1 Praise the LORD! I thank the LORD with all my heart in the company of those who do right, in the congregation. NRS 1 Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. CEB 2 The works of the LORD are magnificent; they are treasured by all who desire them. NRS 2 Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. CEB 3 God's deeds are majestic and glorious. God's righteousness stands forever. NRS 3 Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. CEB 4 God is famous for his wondrous works. The LORD is full of mercy and compassion. NRS 4 He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds; the Lord is gracious and merciful. CEB 5 God gives food to those who honor him. God remembers his covenant forever. NRS 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant. CEB 6 God proclaimed his powerful deeds to his people and gave them what had belonged to other nations. NRS 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. CEB 7 God's handiwork is honesty and justice; all God's rules are trustworthy— NRS 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. CEB 8 they are established always and forever: they are fulfilled with truth and right doing. NRS 8 They are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. CEB 9 God sent redemption for his people; God commanded that his covenant last forever. Holy and awesome is God's name! NRS 9 He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name. CEB 10 Fear of the LORD is where wisdom begins; sure knowledge is for all who keep God's laws. God's praise lasts forever! NRS 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.
