Psalm 16

NIV 1 Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. NRS 1 Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. NIV 2 I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” NRS 2 I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you." NIV 3 I say of the holy people who are in the land, “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” NRS 3 As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble, in whom is all my delight. NIV 4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips. NRS 4 Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names upon my lips. NIV 5 LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. NRS 5 The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. NIV 10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. NRS 10 For you do not give me up to Sheol, or let your faithful one see the Pit. NIV 11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. NRS 11 You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
