Psalm 66:8-20

CEB 8 All you nations, bless our God! Let the sound of his praise be heard! NRS 8 Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, CEB 9 God preserved us among the living; he didn't let our feet slip a bit. NRS 9 who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip. CEB 10 But you, God, have tested us— you've refined us like silver, NRS 10 For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. CEB 11 trapped us in a net, laid burdens on our backs, NRS 11 You brought us into the net; you laid burdens on our backs; CEB 12 let other people run right over our heads— we've been through fire and water. But you brought us out to freedom! NRS 12 you let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place. CEB 13 So I'll enter your house with entirely burned offerings. I'll keep the promises I made to you, NRS 13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows, CEB 14 the ones my lips uttered, the ones my mouth spoke when I was in deep trouble. NRS 14 those that my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble. CEB 15 I will offer the best burned offerings to you along with the smoke of sacrificed rams. I will offer both bulls and goats. Selah NRS 15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fatlings, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. (Selah) CEB 16 Come close and listen, all you who honor God; I will tell you what God has done for me: NRS 16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for me. CEB 17 My mouth cried out to him with praise on my tongue. NRS 17 I cried aloud to him, and he was extolled with my tongue. CEB 18 If I had cherished evil in my heart, my Lord would not have listened. NRS 18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. CEB 19 But God definitely listened. He heard the sound of my prayer. NRS 19 But truly God has listened; he has given heed to the words of my prayer. CEB 20 Bless God! He didn't reject my prayer; he didn't withhold his faithful love from me. NRS 20 Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me.
