Psalm 101

NKJV 1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; To You, O Lord, I will sing praises. NIV 1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise. NKJV 2 I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. NIV 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. NKJV 3 I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me. NIV 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. NKJV 4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. NIV 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. NKJV 5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure. NIV 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. NKJV 6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me. NIV 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. NKJV 7 He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence. NIV 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. NKJV 8 Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord. NIV 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
