Psalm 104

NIRV 1 I will praise the Lord. LORD my God, you are very great. You are dressed in glory and majesty. NIV 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. NIRV 2 You wrap yourself in light as if it were a robe. You spread the heavens out like a tent. NIV 2 He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent NIRV 3 You build your palace high in the heavens. You make the clouds serve as your chariot. You ride on the wings of the wind. NIV 3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. NIRV 4 You make the winds serve as your messengers. You make flashes of lightning serve you. NIV 4 He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants. They went into the valleys. They went to the place you appointed for them. NIV 8 they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them. There is olive oil to make them healthy. And there is bread to make them strong. NIV 15 wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread that sustains his heart. NIRV 16 The cedar trees of Lebanon belong to the Lord. You planted them and gave them plenty of water. NIV 16 The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. NIV 24 How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. NIRV 25 Look at the ocean, so big and wide! It is filled with more creatures than people can count. It is filled with living things, from the largest to the smallest. NIV 25 There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number-- living things both large and small. NIRV 26 Ships sail back and forth on it. The leviathan, the sea monster you made, plays in it. NIV 26 There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. NIRV 27 All of those creatures depend on you to give them their food when they need it. NIV 27 These all look to you to give them their food at the proper time. NIRV 28 When you give it to them, they eat it. When you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. NIV 28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. NIRV 29 When you turn your face away from them, they are terrified. When you take away their breath, they die and turn back into dust. NIV 29 When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust. NIRV 30 When you send your Spirit, you create them. You give new life to the earth. NIV 30 When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth. NIRV 31 May the glory of the LORD continue forever. May the LORD be happy with what he has made. NIV 31 May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works-- NIRV 32 When he looks at the earth, it trembles. When he touches the mountains, they pour out smoke.
