Psalm 10:1-6

NAS 1 Why do You stand afar off, O LORD ? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble? NIV 1 Why, O LORD, do you stand far off ? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? NAS 2 In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. NIV 2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. NAS 3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire, And the greedy man curses and spurns the LORD . NIV 3 He boasts of the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. NAS 4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, "There is no God." NIV 4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. NAS 5 His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them. NIV 5 His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies. NAS 6 He says to himself, "I will not be moved; Throughout all generations I will not be in adversity." NIV 6 He says to himself, "Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble."
