DBY 1 {A Song of degrees.} In my trouble I called unto Jehovah, and he answered me. NIV 1 I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me. DBY 3 What shall be given unto thee, what shall be added unto thee, thou deceitful tongue? NIV 3 What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue? DBY 4 Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with burning coals of broom-wood. NIV 4 He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree. DBY 5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar! NIV 5 Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar! DBY 6 My soul hath long dwelt with them that hate peace. NIV 6 Too long have I lived among those who hate peace. DBY 7 I [am for] peace; but when I speak, *they* [are] for war. NIV 7 I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
