Psalm 125

NRS 1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. NIV 1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. NRS 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time on and forevermore. NIV 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. NRS 3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous might not stretch out their hands to do wrong. NIV 3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil. NRS 4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. NIV 4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. NRS 5 But those who turn aside to their own crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers. Peace be upon Israel!
