Psalm 13

BBE 1 <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> Will you for ever put me out of your memory, O Lord? will your face for ever be turned away from me? NIV 1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? BBE 2 How long is my soul to be in doubt, with sorrow in my heart all the day? how long will he who is against me be given power over me? NIV 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? BBE 3 Let my voice come before you, and give me an answer, O Lord my God; let your light be shining on me, so that the sleep of death may not overtake me; NIV 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; BBE 4 And he who is against me may not say, I have overcome him; and those who are troubling me may not be glad when I am moved. NIV 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. BBE 5 But I have had faith in your mercy; my heart will be glad in your salvation. NIV 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. BBE 6 I will make a song to the Lord, because he has given me my reward. NIV 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
