Psalm 130

RHE 1 (129-1) <A gradual canticle.> Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord: NIV 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; RHE 2 (129-2) Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication. NIV 2 O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. RHE 3 (129-3) If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it. NIV 3 If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? RHE 4 (129-4) For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word: NIV 4 But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. RHE 5 (129-5) my soul hath hoped in the Lord. NIV 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. RHE 6 (129-6) From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord. NIV 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. RHE 7 (129-7) Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption. NIV 7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. RHE 8 (129-8) And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. NIV 8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
