Psalm 142

LEB 1 I cry out with my voice to Yahweh; I implore favor with my voice to Yahweh. NIV 1 I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. LEB 2 I pour out my complaint before him; I declare my trouble before him. NIV 2 I pour out my complaint before him; before him I tell my trouble. LEB 3 When my spirit faints within me, you know my way. On the path where I walk, they have hidden a trap for me; NIV 3 When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. LEB 4 look to [my] right and see. There is no one looking out for me; there is no escape for me; no one cares for my soul. NIV 4 Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. LEB 5 I cry out to you, O Yahweh. I say, "You [are] my refuge, my portion in the land of the living." NIV 5 I cry to you, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living." LEB 6 Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my pursuers, for they are stronger than I. NIV 6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. LEB 7 Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. [The] righteous will encircle me, because you will deal bountifully with me. NIV 7 Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.
