NKJV 1 A Psalm of David. Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle-- NIV 1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. NKJV 2 My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me. NIV 2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. NKJV 3 Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? NIV 3 O LORD, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him? NKJV 4 Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow. NIV 4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. NKJV 5 Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. NIV 5 Part your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. NKJV 6 Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them. NIV 6 Send forth lightning and scatter [the enemies]; shoot your arrows and rout them.
