Psalm 144:1-6

TMB 1 <<A Psalm of David.>> Blessed be the LORD my strength, who teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight; NIV 1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. TMB 2 my goodness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and He in whom I trust, who subdueth my people under me. NIV 2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. TMB 3 LORD, what is man that Thou takest notice of him? Or the son of man that Thou makest account of him? NIV 3 O LORD, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him? TMB 4 Man is like vanity; his days are as a shadow that passeth away. NIV 4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. TMB 5 Bow Thy heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. NIV 5 Part your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. TMB 6 Cast forth lightning and scatter them; shoot out Thine arrows and destroy them. NIV 6 Send forth lightning and scatter [the enemies]; shoot your arrows and rout them.
