NAS 1 Praise the LORD ! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones. NIV 1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. NAS 2 Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. NIV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. NAS 3 Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre. NIV 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp. NAS 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation. NIV 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. NAS 5 Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds. NIV 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. NAS 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, NIV 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, NAS 7 To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples, NIV 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, NAS 8 To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron, NIV 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, NAS 9 To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the LORD ! NIV 9 to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.
