NLT 1 For the choir director: A psalm of David. In times of trouble, may the LORD respond to your cry. May the God of Israel keep you safe from all harm. NIV 1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. NLT 2 May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. NIV 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. NLT 3 May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Interlude NIV 3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. "Selah" NLT 4 May he grant your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans. NIV 4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. NLT 5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory, flying banners to honor our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers. NIV 5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests. NLT 6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power. NIV 6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. NLT 7 Some nations boast of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the LORD our God. NIV 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. NLT 8 Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. NIV 8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. NLT 9 Give victory to our king, O LORD! Respond to our cry for help. NIV 9 O LORD, save the king! Answer us when we call!
