Psalm 25

GNT 1 To you, O Lord, I offer my prayer; NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; GNT 2 in you, my God, I trust. Save me from the shame of defeat; don't let my enemies gloat over me! NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. GNT 3 Defeat does not come to those who trust in you, but to those who are quick to rebel against you. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. GNT 4 Teach me your ways, O Lord; make them known to me. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; GNT 5 Teach me to live according to your truth, for you are my God, who saves me. I always trust in you. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. GNT 6 Remember, O Lord, your kindness and constant love which you have shown from long ago. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. GNT 7 Forgive the sins and errors of my youth. In your constant love and goodness, remember me, Lord! NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. GNT 8 Because the Lord is righteous and good, he teaches sinners the path they should follow. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. GNT 9 He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. GNT 10 With faithfulness and love he leads all who keep his covenant and obey his commands. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. GNT 11 Keep your promise, Lord, and forgive my sins, for they are many. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. GNT 12 Those who have reverence for the Lord will learn from him the path they should follow. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. GNT 13 They will always be prosperous, and their children will possess the land. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. GNT 14 The Lord is the friend of those who obey him and he affirms his covenant with them. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. GNT 15 I look to the Lord for help at all times, and he rescues me from danger. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. GNT 16 Turn to me, Lord, and be merciful to me, because I am lonely and weak. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. GNT 17 Relieve me of my worries and save me from all my troubles. NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. GNT 18 Consider my distress and suffering and forgive all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. GNT 19 See how many enemies I have; see how much they hate me. NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! GNT 20 Protect me and save me; keep me from defeat. I come to you for safety. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. GNT 21 May my goodness and honesty preserve me, because I trust in you. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. GNT 22 From all their troubles, O God, save your people Israel! NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
