Psalm 25

NKJV 1 A Psalm of David. To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. NIV 1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; NKJV 2 O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. NIV 2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. NKJV 3 Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. NIV 3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. NKJV 4 Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. NIV 4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; NKJV 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. NIV 5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. NKJV 6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. NIV 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. NKJV 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O Lord. NIV 7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD. NKJV 8 Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. NIV 8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. NKJV 9 The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. NIV 9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. NKJV 10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. NIV 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. NKJV 11 For Your name's sake, O Lord, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. NIV 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great. NKJV 12 Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. NIV 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. NKJV 13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth. NIV 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. NKJV 14 The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. NIV 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. NKJV 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net. NIV 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare. NKJV 16 Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted. NIV 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. NKJV 17 The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses! NIV 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. NKJV 18 Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins. NIV 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. NKJV 19 Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred. NIV 19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me! NKJV 20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You. NIV 20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. NKJV 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You. NIV 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. NKJV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all their troubles! NIV 22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
